Even if nightlife is not down your alley, its almost
impossible not to know Green Mango or at least heard of someone recapping
their experience to a mate from the night before. This open-air nightclub
is where Thais and farangs congregate through one universal language
- that is, one based solely on bass beats. The crowd here is subliminally
loud, the music upbeat and the prospects of an overall rave, promising.
Perhaps one of the more popular and first entertainment hubs to have
opened on this thrill-hungry island, Green Mango started off from
a medium-sized venue. Judging by its funk factory image now, one can
only assume its increasing popularity over the years. The beat can
only go on and on and on and

Those who graced Samui a decade ago would perhaps
be familiar with this once popular joint. Reggae pub was once one
of the most hip of alland if youre on an island, then its almost certain
that EVERYBODY goes there. These days, Reggae pub may seem to have
lost their spark, turning into somewhat more of a touristy nightclub.
All the same, go there to relive the old days, grab a Reggae Pub T-shirt
in the souvenir shop, swivel a few Vodka Red Bulls and perhaps befriend
that tipsy partygoer dancing next to you. Here in Samui, there are
no social boundaries, no right or wrong. Just go with the flow - like
the waves - and raise your bottoms high up.

There have been countless entertainment spots which
have emerged from the woodworks over the past decade, and the Club
is one choice. Much smaller in size than giants of the industry Green
Mango and Reggae, it has the benefit of being that much more cosy
and intimate than its larger counterparts. The only other advantage
of being small perhaps, is the fact that its much easier to stay clean
(an element which some punters give priority to) and at that, the
Club reigns fairly supreme.

Look out for this funky hangout, for although the name may indicate
that things might move along a bit slowly, the pace here is completely
the opposite. Revellers can luxuriate in the candlelit ambiance and
comfortable chairs while tapping their feet to groovy house beats,
before things really start kicking later on in the night. Samui sybarites
often come here to warm up their livers before going all out along
larger night clubs. Some, however, come here to warm up and end up
staying the entire night.
