| Located in the more or less older part of Bangkok where most buildings
don't exceed 5 floors, Harmonique shyly hides itself in a little corner
off Charoenkrung road. For tourists exploring Bankok by foot, it is
no wonder this place is a serendipity in the making. Thai food is
well represented here, and the comfortable, authentic Thai ambiance
coupled with this make it an unforgettable experience. Fans of local
handicraft and furniture will find Harmonique especially attractive,
as there a multitude of charming gifts one can browse from. A very
pleasant way to spend time and money in all that is Thai. |

| Indigo is run under the same management as those in charge of Cafe
Siam, so no doubt trendiness is a strong point here. Tucked in a little
sub-soi off soi Convent, Indigo can be quite difficult to find if
you allow yourself to be distracted by the bright lights of Silom
road, so keep an eye out for the neon sign bearing its name. Once
in this pleasant, home-like eatery, it's almost a guarantee you'd
want to relax for a long while yet. Swivel a few glasses of wine in
the fashionable bar area while waiting for your friends to arrive,
it'll have you prepared for more great things. |

| If it's anywhere that does Thai food justice, Baan Kanittha would
definitely score top marks. This home-style restaurant is the epitome
of all that is Thai, whether it be in its hospitality, in the simple
yet classically elegant decor, down to the subtle tingling of chillies
and spices one can detect in every dish, making each taste like a
happy ending. Baan Khanittha is excellent for business lunches or
dinners, with a broad selection of wine and champagne available on
the list. They don't hand out best restaurant prizes for style and
comfort alone, though the food here is unrivalled, especially the
pla krapong sarm rote. |
